When building a deck in high wind areas, reinforcing an existing deck, or looking to distribute the weight load of your support beam, our high resistance steel deck bracing should be your first choice. The brace consists of a steel 3”x3” square x 1/8” thick arm welding to a 3” x 32” x ¼” post flange. The flange has 13 openings for the included GRK steel to wood fasteners to fasten to any wood post vertically. Our patented Structural Lock technology is used at the top of the arm allowing for the choose between 2 styles of plates, beam or saddle. Different plate sizes in these styles are available to fit almost any beam configuration. Our brace and plates are finished in a black powder coating.

Brace Beam Plate

Made from 1/4” low carbon steel. The plate has two keyholes and two 3/8” holes with a 19/32” counter sunk hole in the center of the plate to accept a 1/2” bolt. Powder coated, black finish. Used for high weight loads.

Brace Saddle Plate

Made from 12 gauge low carbon steel with eight 3/16” holes. A specially designed hole and bolt to connect the plate to the column is located in the center of the plate. Powder coated black finish. This plate is used for superior resistance from racking due to wind or seismic occurrences.
